Follically Challenged? – Hair Removal Options
by Zoey Hubbell
Yes, I am follically challenged! I recently received a birthday card with the character on the front having thinning hair on the top of her head and unruly hair coming from her chin, upper lip and here and there on her legs. It was supposed to be a funny card but it didn’t make me laugh because it was too close to the truth.
What options are there for getting rid of my irritating facial hair? Right now as soon as I feel one of the tiny stubs popping out I run for the tweezers and my 10X-magnifying mirror and have to get it out right then and there.
One hair removal treatment I have tried is waxing the hair on my upper lip. That is a bit painful and the hair starts coming back in 3 to 6 weeks. Before I know it, it is back looking just as ugly as before. Though it is relatively inexpensive, you also have to wait until the hair grows out again before you can have it redone. That’s because the wax needs longer growth to adhere to so it can be pulled out yet again!
I wouldn’t consider shaving it, I have seen the results of that on others and it isn’t a pretty picture. I guess I could try bleaching, but the hair would still be there and I wouldn’t like the looks of that either.
I have heard commercials for laser hair removal but that is expensive and needs to be done by a licensed professional. From what I have read this is not always successful and can cause skin discolorations in some people, and with my luck I would be one of those people.
Electrolysis hair removal is a permanent option to get rid of unwanted hair. An electric current is sent into the hair, which kills the hair follicle. This is done on individual hairs and has to be done several times, making it quite an expensive way to remove the hair.
I have seen a home electrolysis kit which might be the answer I am looking for. Something I can use at home. On just on the few stubborn hairs that are making me crazy. This may not be as effective as going to the professional, but it would be more economical and get the job done in the comfort of my own bathroom, one tiny hair at a time.

In today’s world, more and more people want the flexibility of doing things on their own schedule. Whether its working from home, making convenient purchases over the internet instead of shopping at the mall or discovering home based spa treatments like facials, pedicures and hair removal. Home hair removal? That’s right. Now, there is a way to have professional level hair removal both from home and at your own convenience without having to plan around a doctor or salon’s schedule. The Verseo eGlide is the first at-home roller electrolysis system that’s clinically tested for at-home hair removal.
The eGlide system safely removes unwanted hair from areas of the body or face in a simple, pain-free way. With repeated use, hair will stop growing in treated areas permanently. Its sleek design allows it to gently glide across skin with its roller technology. It produces the desired results of removing unwanted hair from areas such as the face, legs, and underarms without the fear of scaring. It eliminates the need for hair removal to be a difficult or painful process and replaces it with a worry free system that anyone may use from the comfort of their own homes.
The eGlide system is affordable, easy to use, and may be used on all skin types and colors. The Verseo eGlide system is designed with a face roller and body modes, an LED indicator, and a built in timer for the convenience of knowing exactly how long to use the eGlide for each desired area.
